About GlazeChemGlazeChem is a ceramic glaze database, analysis, and calculation program. GlazeChem will help you to keep your glaze recipes and test results organized, will show you their chemical and cost analyses, and will assist in making substitutions, changing recipe sizes, performing batch calculations, and other common tasks. GlazeChem has extensive online help and a tutorial, and includes oxide, material, substitution, and limit formula data. System requirements
Note: Macintosh users may be able to use GlazeChem through a Windows emulator. License GlazeChem is shareware, with a 45-day trial period. If you decide to keep the program, the license fee is $35.00 US (upgrade from version 1.2 is $10.00 US). Use after 90 days requires a registration code. More information is available in the Readme file and in the online help. I do accept credit card payments through PayPal. The fee is slightly higher, though ($37). Email for details. Download and InstallYou can download GlazeChem 2.1 here: GlazeChem version 2.1 (glazechem212.zip - 2.8 megabytes) This is a zip file containing everything you need to install and run the program. Here's what to do:
You can then delete the files you extracted from the zip file. The next thing you should do is read the Readme file. If you're upgrading from version 1.2, read the Upgrade from 1.2 readme file. (Both included in the download.) To learn how to use GlazeChem, I recommend working through the tutorial in Tour.rtf, found in your GlazeChem program directory. If you're already an experienced GlazeChem user, look at the "What's New" section of the Help file. Extra DataThe following databases* are also available for download:
A suggestion: after you download any of the files above, unzip the contents to your GlazeChem data directory. Then start GlazeChem and activate the Database Tree view. Use the Edit | Add Databases to Tree command to add the new files to the tree. * These files are in GlazeChem 2.1 format. To read with version 1.2, open the database file with WordPad and change the 'Version' from 2 to 1. You will lose some (non-critical) information. |
